GP Patient Participation Groups (PPGs)
The majority of GP Practices in North Yorkshire have a group of patients working with them to help improve services, often referred to as a Patient Participation Group (PPG).
If you are interested in joining your GP group, the first thing to do is to talk to the Practice Manager at your GP practice. There may already be a group, there may have been one in the past or this may all be new.
Working with practices, PPGs and the PPG Network, we are building a library of tools and resources to help groups across North Yorkshire.

Understanding NHS Jargon
When you are new to working with the NHS it can be difficult to get used to some of the language and terms that are used. This acronym buster might be helpful alongside our understanding the NHS section.
‘Think Local Act Personal (TLAP)’ also has a useful care and support jargon buster that includes terms related to health and social care.
